🟢 DAY 1: Into the Wild & Riverside Camp Setup
⏰ 08:30 AM – Gathering, Registration & Crucial Safety Briefing Meet your certified guide at your lodge in Bukit Lawang. We will conduct a vital safety briefing outlining trail protocols and our strict "No Touch, No Feed" ethical wildlife guidelines before entering the park.
🥾 08:45 AM – Trekking into the Primary Rainforest Leave the village behind as we cross into the majestic boundary of Gunung Leuser National Park. We will slowly climb deeper into the ancient canopy where giant trees and dense vines block out the intense tropical sun.
🦧 09:15 AM – Wildlife Tracking & Exploration Spend the morning tracking Sumatra’s famous wildlife. Your guide will help you spot the critically endangered Sumatran Orangutan swinging effortlessly through the trees, alongside endemic Thomas's Leaf Monkeys, Pig-tailed Macaques, and vibrant birds.
🍍 11:00 AM – Fresh Tropical Fruit Rest Take a break at a scenic jungle viewpoint. Relax as your guide prepares a delicious, fresh platter of local seasonal fruits (sweet pineapples, bananas, passion fruit, and seasonal treats)
.🍱 01:00 PM – Traditional Jungle Lunch Enjoy a hearty, traditional Indonesian lunch (delicious fried rice or noodles with egg) freshly packed wrapped in eco-friendly banana leaves, giving you the perfect energy boost for the afternoon hike.
⛺ 03:30 PM – Arrival at the Riverside Camp Arrive at our traditional campsite situated right next to a clean, rushing jungle river. Take a refreshing swim in the cool, crystal-clear water while your camp crew prepares your tent/shelter and starts a cozy campfire.
☕ 04:30 PM – Afternoon Tea & Relaxation Sip on hot local tea or coffee paired with light snacks. Relax by the river, listen to the symphony of the jungle insects, or chat with your guides about local folklore.
🍲 07:00 PM – Candlelit Jungle Dinner Enjoy a fantastic, freshly cooked traditional Indonesian dinner prepared by our camp chef over the open fire. Feast on a variety of local dishes, including curry, rendang, vegetables, and rice. Sleep soundly under our secure, waterproof bamboo and tarp shelters.
🔵 DAY 2: Morning Magic & Return Journey
☕ 07:30 AM – Rainforest Breakfast Wake up to the spectacular sounds of wild gibbons and birds. Enjoy a fresh breakfast of pancakes or toast, served with fresh tropical fruits and hot coffee or tea.
🥾 09:00 AM – Short Morning Trek & Flora Discovery Pack up camp and go on a short, relaxed morning walk around the camp area. Your guide will show you unique medicinal plants, giant jungle trees, and explain the delicate river ecosystem.
🍉 11:30 AM – Final River Swim & Snacks Head back to the riverbank for one final swim in the refreshing waters and enjoy some light refreshments.
🌊 12:00 PM – Return to Bukit Lawang (Optional River Tubing) Start making our way back. Optional Upgrade: You can choose to end your adventure with an exciting "Jungle Taxi"—fun river tubing down the Bohorok River straight back to your lodge in Bukit Lawang! Otherwise, we will enjoy a scenic walk along the riverbanks.
